I would like to initiate a flag rugby program. It would be as simply as a bag of rugby balls, pieces of fabric of any type, clothespins, and someone to instruct on how the game is played, and a patch of grass, at a place and time. You invite whoever is curious to show up. I love the game. I played for a short time in college. It is a sport that lends itself to the lifting of all boats, as in rugby, you are only as strong as your weakest link. The movement of lateral passing provides for a rhythm of camaraderie. You can’t quite put your finger on why, but the movement of play just feels right. We can all use more play in our lives.
